Personality: Tobias Ragg, or Toby as the boy prefers to be called, is a gentleman of a young boy and devoted to all that take him in. He is rather self-motivated to do his job even when dangerously mistreated. For a young boy, Toby is a hard-worked and very determined to do his work despite what humiliation might be brought to him from doing it. The boy is sharp though, very sharp actually. Maybe not in the way most would expect, such as being book smart; yet, he has people all figured out. The boy can tell when something suspicious is going around or when someone is lying, and his memory doesn’t fail him on these matters either. He becomes rather suspicious when he hears people talking about those that he knows are that care for him, and in a way always seems to be assuming the worst on such matters.
The boy has little time for anything other than work, but when he does he enjoys spending it outside. The boy does not have many friends, but he adores to go exploring on sunny days. He has always been partial to life and is very appreciative to those who help him out, as the work house is a terrible place. Swimming and going to the beach are things that he has always enjoyed, but have rarely had the chance to do. Only once or twice in his life, and he considers himself lucky to get even that.
Respect is something that Toby is very willing to give, as he believes that everyone deserves it. The boy is kind-hearted and tries to help everyone in any way he can, even when they end up hurting him in the long run. Perhaps this is his young childish nature. He takes pride in everything that he can get to own for himself, as owning anything is a rare treat for the poor boy. He barely remembers his birthday as he was only able to celebrate a few before his parents’ death and he has not told anyone of his age or birthday recently. He values his past life with his parents greatly and wishes that one day he will be able to have that sort of a family again

Best Memory: The day he met Mrs. Lovett. She's always been so kind to him and everything. He loves her more than anything in the world Worst Memory: Toby has two. The day he was sent to workhouse, though he barely remembers it. Then the day he remembers being picked up by the dreadful Italian, Adolfo Pirelli
History: Toby was born into a poor family of the Raggs, who were barely able to support themselves let alone their son Tobias. The family was perfect in every other way though, much love went around and Toby learned to work hard to help support the family and keep them from having to be beggars. He had a younger sister, and she too learned to work hard. His father began leaving at nights though, leaving to work more, attempting to bring in more money. The family was failing. Slowly but certainly the family was failing, and on Toby's seventh birthday his parents attempted to explain the news to him. He was leaving. His father had to leave in a feeble attempt to support the family. And he left to be a sailor, promising to send his good words and money. He promised that one day he'd come back for his family and they would live a much more admirable life. He left. Nor words or money were sent to the family.
Six months later, the rest of them were evicted from their small home underneath a rather large bakery. Their mother sent them out, she told them of her love for them but said the two children would have to live in a work house. One day, she promised, she'd come back for them. She sent Toby out to go to the work house. Age 10. He was picked up by Adolfo Pirelli from the work house, and has been working for him ever since.
After Pirelli disappeared however, he began working as a shop boy/apprentice to Mrs. Nellie Lovett, the wonderful piemaker.
