This list of rules is a guide to the site. Please follow them as they will determine whether or not you remain on the board. It looks like there's a lot, but they're really quite simple. They are divided into separate categories; general applies to both in- and out of character, while some rules are just IC or OOC specific.
General:
Absolutely NO race/religion/whatever bashing. It will NOT be tolerated, and you will be immediately banned from the forum.
ALL content must be kept at 14 PG. If you wish to go over that rating (ex. M or R threads), please PM an admin for the link to the appropriate board for that content.
Please stay active!!! At the end of each month, if you have been mostly inactive (i.e. you haven't logged on since the day you registered, have not posted an app, or have not been online for two weeks at a time, etc.), your account will be deactivated. Not deleted. Your character (if it is canon) will be put back up on the list. If you are a non-canon, your character will still be available if you wish to come back. That being said, if you know that you are leaving for good, please PM admin- you don't need to give a reason. Upon returning, you will need to re-apply (a.k.a. post another app); if you were a canon and that character is now taken, you will not be able to get your character back.
If questionable behavior of a member is reported to the staff, or the staff notice it, the member in question will be sent a message and possibly banned, depending on how serious the situation is.
Please do not spam anywhere on the board.
Please do not use vulgar language. It makes the board seem scary (you know what I mean, lol) if there is a lot of 'bad' language. You are allowed to swear in-character, but please keep it minimal. Absolutely NO swearing in the cbox, though.
In-Character:
Godmodding is NOT acceptable
Let's face the facts: Sweeney Todd is set in the 1800's. This means that your character most likely won't be seen wearing TNA hoodies and short shorts. This also means that your character doesn't have such conveniences as cell phones or televisions, texting, computers, malls, etc. You have books, non-ballpoint pens and the power of imagination. That's IT. Please at least try to remember what time period you're RPing in, and not change it into just another town-like RPG. And also, in case you weren't able to tell from the 'TNA' bit of rubbish up there, please try to keep your avatars and sigs looking semi-era-friendly. That's my biggest pet peeve.
Characters may only be killed off if: A) both parties agree; and B) the admin has been PM'd and has approved it.
This being an intermediate-ish forum, please post more than one sentence. A full paragraph would be nice, or more if you wish, but please no less than that. Writer's Block is understandable -we all get it at one point or another- but please don't make short posts a habit.
Out of Character:
Advertising is to remain ONLY in the area designated for it.
Avatars must be no larger than 100 pixels by 100 pixels (duh- Proboards standard!) and must display your character. If you cannot find or make an avatar, please post a thread in the 'Questions' board with the subject as 'Avatar Request', and state what you would like to have done. You may attach pictures to be used if you wish.
Signatures should display your character or something ABOUT your character and should not stretch the page or be overly huge. Keep it reasonable!
Should situations arise, more rules may be added to the list.
